in Colmenar del Arroyo: Church Assumption of Our Lady
According to the official website of the Colmenar del Arroyo Council "The main exhibition of artistic heritage in Colmenar del Arroyo is the Parish Church of the Assumption of Our Lady, located in front of the City Hall, and declared a Site of Cultural Interest by the Community of Madrid. Of Renaissance style, it is believed that it could have been built between the years 1589 to 1615 and is attributed to Juan de Herrera, architect of the nearby Monastery of El Escorial." These photos were taken in February 2026 and show a selection of views of a plaque in memory of José Antonio Primo de Rivera and the Fallen of the Nationalist side during the Spanish Civil War, located on the facade of the church.
