In Predappio: Tribute to the Second Polish Army Corps
According to the ForliToday site “on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of the Liberation of Predappio, which took place on October 28, 1944, by the Second Polish Army Corps, the Municipal Administration promoted the celebration with two public ceremonies held on October 28, 2024. Exactly eighty years after the important historic event, the first celebratory moment of the day was the unveiling of the commemorative plaque in memory of the soldiers of the Second Polish Army Corps at the War Memorial adjacent to the Church of Sant'Antonio. Numerous local civil, military, and religious authorities were present, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Anna Maria Anders, daughter of the Commander of the Second Polish Army Corps Władisław Albert Anders, the Polish Consul in Milan Paweł Krupka, and a large representation of veterans' and military associations, as well as Italian-Polish associations.” These photos were taken in April 2026 and show some views of the Memorial to the Second Polish Army Corps on the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Predappio.
