in Toronto: Canadian Airmen's Memorial
According to the Architectural Conservacy Ontario website the Canadian Airmen’s Memorial “gives the names of Canadian Airmen who were awarded the Victoria Cross. One of the sides of the memorial reads, "Per Ardua Ad Astra - In Memory of our Canadian Airmen who fought in the skies to preserve freedom and order in the world". It was donated to the City of Toronto by Henry R. Jackman and was dedicated by Queen Elizabeth II on September 29, 1984. The sculture was made by Oscar Nemon and the archictec was Parkin Partnership Architects Planners. These photos were taken in August 2022.
