In Zagreb, the changing of the Cravat Regiment Guard
The Cravat Regiment is a guard of honour in Zagreb, Croatia. Since 2010 the regiment is performing a march in the Upper Town of Zagreb which is culminating in a guard shift at St. Mark's Square. The regiment are wearing uniforms that are replicas of those worn by the Croats military unit during the Thirty Years' War. Its biggest claim to fame was this uniform, especially the distinctive scarves its soldiers wore around their necks, which is where the cravat got its name from. These photos were taken in August 2017 and show how the changing of the Cravat Regiment Guard has become a popular tourist attraction.
