«Pëdas» commemorating the Baltic Way 23.08.1989
According to the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia « the Pëdas (Footprints) memorial markers, carved in granite, are located in the three Baltic capitals and commemorate the Baltic way of 23 August 1989. The author is Lithuanian artist Gitenis Umbrasas. Each memoria was unveiled in 20013 as a gift from the City of Vilnius». «Pëdas» (Footprints) is placed in Riga at the corner of Kalku iela and Valnu iela. These photos were taken in May 2024.
